One of the food fabs that we are quite excited to see unfold over the past couple years is the idea of Extreme Milkshakes. No longer is a hand scooped ice cream milkshake the standard (though we really wish more places would make them the old-fashioned way as opposed to the quick soft-serve options served most places). Today places are taking a milkshake and serving them in fancy, coated glasses with additional treats that make them perfect for sharing the sugar load.
Dorney Park has introduced three new Extreme Milkshake options at their Coaster’s Drive-In that we were excited to try!
Extreme Chocolate (2525 calories)
A classic chocolate milkshake is served in a souvenir plastic mason jar drizzled with chocolate syrup. A chocolate covered pretzel rod and chocolate covered potato chips are then stuck into the milkshake, a chocolate covered pretzel is strung through the straw, chocolate chips are sprinkled on top, and then a brownie on a stick is inserted into the refreshing beverage. Alas, there is also a cherry on top!
Extreme Coasters Classic (1881 calories)
A strawberry milkshake is served in a souvenir plastic mason jar that is topped with whipped cream and Fruity Pebbles. A rock candy stick and Twinkie on a stick are stuck into the shake and topped with a cherry.
Extreme Cookies & Cream (2326 calories)
Talk about cookie awesomeness! Check out this extreme shake that is loaded with cookies not only blended into the milkshake, but also the entire souvenir mug is filled with extra cookies to share or hoard all to yourself!
