<p>In 2017, Dorney Park introduced the <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/dorney-park-dining-guide/chefs-grille/">Chef&#8217;s Grille</a>, which is suppose to highlight special menu options crafted by the Executive Chef. </p>
<p>One of the menu items we find sort of perplexing is the cheesesteak offered at Chef&#8217;s Grille. While it makes total sense to offer a cheesesteak at Dorney Park due to its close proximity to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the birthplace of the sandwich, the park also offers several <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/dorney-park-dining-guide/dorney-park-chickies-petes/">Chickie&#8217;s &#038; Pete&#8217;s</a> locations that sell the meal. Though this world thrives on competition in a weird way.</p>
<p>So we decided to try the Chef&#8217;s Grille cheesesteak. </p>
<p>The chopped steak is served in a hearty roll with a cheese sauce on top and a side of fries. </p>
<p>What is also interesting is that the park used to offer a sausage sandwich with peppers and onions at this same food stand, but they do not come on the cheesesteak. That is one option we would love to see offered by topping the steak with grilled peppers and onions! </p>
<p>One other item up for discussion is whether the cheese is supposed to be a sauce, like at Chickie&#8217;s &#038; Pete&#8217;s, or if it is to be a melted slice on top? We suppose there really is no right or wrong way to melt the cheese, it just presented some interesting discussion on this end of which way the sandwich should be served.</p>
