What makes a good sandwich? For some it could be the simplicity of peanut butter and jelly (Berry Market jam, anyone?). For others it involves a quick trip to Subway for a rather sub par sandwich. To us, a quality bread paired with premium lunch meats and fresh vegetables is what makes for a great sandwich. With our luck, the Carowinds Harmony Hall Italian Hoagie fits that bill.
To start with, Carowinds take a good quality sub roll and toasted it, giving it a nice crunch. Next they take some high quality lunch meats piled high with shredded lettuce, red onion, tomato, olives, and banana peppers. We also got some Italian dressing from the salad bar, which was the perfect sauce.
The sandwich is paired with a tortellini pasta salad.
So how was the Italian Hoagie meal received? We all loved it! The premium ingredients really bring together the Italian theme, and the tortellini is the perfect side dish.
