<p><P><P>We have always been impressed with the available food offerings at Canada&#8217;s Wonderland. Several unique menu items can only be found at this park, and when paired with a large variety of rides, shows, and attractions, make for a perfect day of FUN. During our recent return trip to Canada&#8217;s Wonderland, we saw some major transformations in the food scene throughout the park.</p>
<p>When guests visit Carowinds, many will tell you one of their favorite places to eat is at <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/carowinds-dining-guide/carowinds-harmony-hall/">Harmony Hall</a>. Chef Kris Siuta has hand crafted a really impressive lineup of menu items, all made fresh, with the majority of the options available on the dining plans. </p>
<p>So during our visit to Canada&#8217;s Wonderland, we were excited to see that <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/canadas-wonderland-food/backlot-cafe/">Backlot Cafe</a> has sorta become the Harmony Hall of the north, offering a really impressive lineup of menu items thanks to Executive Chef Dilup Attygalla.</p>
<p>Guests have the option to chose from Mexican, American, Italian, Asian, and Indian meal options at Backlot Cafe, offering an impressive list of food unique to the park.</p>
<p>We were most excited to try some of the Indian options, a personal favorite ethnic food of ours. Since we were redeeming the All-Season dining plan, we selected the Bombay butter chicken with rice, papadum, raita, and chutney option. </p>
<p>Papadum is a thin, crisp, disc-shaped food typically based on a seasoned dough usually made from peeled black gram flour, fried or cooked with dry heat.</p>
<p>Our meal was served with an ample portion of butter chicken, papadum, naan, rice, and raita. On a subsequent visit, they were out of papadum and gave us two naan instead. </p>
<p>The first thing you should notice is the large chunks of chicken. The portion size was ample and impressive. The Indian spices and flavors were fantastic and was a really good meal. The naan was perfectly prepared, and the papadum was really good too, given we had never tried it before.</p>
<p>For those that have never tried Indian food, butter chicken is a great entry meal option to try it. We think you will be impressed with the simple but flavorful tastes. Butter chicken is also not very spicy for those looking to minimize the heat.</p>
<p>We loved Chef Attygalla take on butter chicken so much that we had it twice. Our kids are pretty adventuresome eaters in general, and also LOVED the butter chicken. They enjoyed taking the naan and adding the rice, chicken and raita to create their own &#8220;tacos.&#8221;</p>

<p>We really enjoyed the Canada&#8217;s Wonderland butter chicken as it was very flavorful and was a large enough meal you could share if desired. </p>
