New to the menu this year at California’s Great America La Cantina, in the Food Festival, are classic taquitos!
A taquito is a rolled and fried taco, making them a perfect meal to grab and enjoy walking around the park. They are also ideal for dipping in salsa, guacamole and sour cream!
Each taquito is filled with a shredded chicken with Mexican spices. An order is approximately 7 rolls and served with your choice of salsa, guacamole and sour cream.
Overall we really enjoyed these taquitos. Very flavorful for such a small and condensed taco. It is also really nice to have all three dipping sauces served with them to add to the flavor.
They are made fresh to order, so they take a little while to receive the food which was fine by us.
Our only suggestion is we would like to see them offered with different fillings since they are made fresh. Perhaps a shredded beef or veggie option to widen the appeal.
It might also be nice to have them served on a bed of shredded lettuce to add to the appeal and add another topping.
