Cable Car Kitchen replaces Pink's hot dogs, which operated at Knott's Berry Farm from 2009-September 29, 2014. Cable Car Kitchen officially opened on October 3, 2014. Cable Car Kitchen is also a throwback to the original that existed at Knott's Berry Farm back in the 1950's.

When Mrs. Knott's Restaurant went under complete refurbishment during the end of the 2015/beginning of 2016 season, Cable Car Kitchen was temporarily used as the Chicken-to-Go location. After Mrs. Knott's opened back up on April 19, 2016, Cable Car Kitchen opened up under a new menu format.
