Ever since Cedar Point added a full service Starbucks into the park in 2014, we have been requesting they offer a signature drink, similar to those offered at Knott’s Berry Farm and Carowinds. However, after dipping in all season for years, our requests fell on deaf ears, until 2019 when the park offered an exclusive “Cedars” frappuccino.
The Cedars operated from 1915 through the 2018 season and were removed from the peninsula during the winter of 2019. You can go back and tour Cedars dorms in our archive.
For many, the Cedars dorms played a pivotal role in their work experience at Cedar Point.
So it was interesting to see that the Starbucks location inside Hotel Breakers is offering a special “Cedars” frappuccino for the 2019 season.
The Cedars Frappuccino is made of cold brew coffee, vanilla bean and almond milk.
At the time of writing, the Cedars frap is only available in the Hotels Breakers Starbucks, since they are not aware of it at the one inside the park. However, if you tell them the recipe, they will still make one for you.
Also note, since the time of discovery, they have since removed the sign for the Cedars frap, but we have confirmed it is still available.
While we are extremely excited to see Cedar Point at least offer something “signature” on the Starbucks menu, the drink is nothing really special. We would really like to see them take the time to create something unique, like those at the other parks.

I WAS AT CEDAR POINT ON 10/19 WENT INTO STARBUCKS ORDERED 2 DRINKS AND STATED I WANTED TO USE MY REWARDS AND WAS TOLD THEY CANT USE STAR REWARDS AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY WITH MY VISA/MASRERCARD I COULD NOT GET A REASON WHY SO I JUST PAID WITH VISA AND LEFT STILL NOT SURE WHY LATER THAT DAY I CHOSE A DIFFERENT COFFEE SHOP
Correct, Starbucks rewards can be earned but not redeemed at locations in the parks.
I noticed in Diane’s comment she mentioned they told her she had to pay with either Visa or Mastercard. Do they only accept payment via credit (i.e. no cash….specifically asking per the Breakers location)
