Congratulations! You successfully made it through another off-season, and Cedar Point opens their gates for the 2017 season this Saturday.
By now you know there are some pretty big dining changes this season at Cedar Point! First, what started out as a friendly Tweet resulted in Melt Bar & Grilled opening their ninth location at Cedar Point!
For those that do not want to carry around a souvenir bottle all year, Cedar Fair has introduced a new Season Pass Drink program.
Also new for this season, you will notice a new Dippin Dot’s stand right before entering the Frontier Trail tunnel (next to Coca-Cola Marketplace). For the past year or so there was a temporary Dippin’ Dots cart that occupied the space, but this season it will be one of the permanent booths.
You will also notice a change at CJ’s Provisions! New this year, Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon will now be sold inside CJ’s Provisions. The building is now divided into three sections with Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon on the end, CJ’s Provisions in the middle offering fresh wraps and specialty mac and cheese, and Toot Sweets will still operate on the north side of the building.
But wait…there is more!
Ohio’s own Root’s Poultry shredded chicken, pork and beef sandwiches, along with gourmet macaroni and cheese bowls, are coming to Sky Ride Refreshments, located near the Scrambler.
On the Frontier Trail, a new quick service Famous Dave’s BBQ Shack will arrive with brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, ribs and combo meals in the former Gristmill Refreshments.
And in FrontierTown, Wagon Wheel Pizza will replace Los Gatos and will serve up hand-made pizza with traditional toppings of pepperoni, sausage or cheese.
You can still get hand made burritos at Buckaroo’s Burritos, which replaces Chuck Wagon Western Foods. Pretty much same great menu, but new name.
