Everyone is always looking for a deal, right? Cedar Point has rolled out a new promotion for 2023 that is highly worth considering for early season access to the park.
Season pass holders traditionally get some of the best rates at the various Cedar Point Resorts properties including Hotel Breakers and Express Hotel. Those with a valid season pass can use promo code PASS to see how the rate compares with rack costs. Often times the pass holder discount will be the cheapest, but we have also found instances where it was not.
This week Cedar Point sent out emails with a “Golden Opportunity” that is highly worth considering.
Valid exclusively for pass holders and only for a two-night consecutive stay at Hotel Breakers during select dates May 5-June 15, 2023. Offer must be reserved by February 15. Use promo code GPASS.
New 2023 Cedar Point Discounted Resort Stays
Lets run a quick scenario to see how this new discount works out in the end.
For this hypothetical situation, we looked at opening weekend, May 5-7, 2023 for two adults and two kids. All rates will look at a Standard Room with 2 Queen Beds, room only cost.
The rack rate for that scenario if two nights is $498.
If I used promo code PASS, the rate drops to $448.20.
If I used promo code GPASS, the rate drops to $299.
Note to use the GPASS rate, guests must present a valid Gold, Platinum or Prestige pass at check-in.
For those who are NOT Gold, Platinum or Prestige pass holders, there is another code that can be used to match this offer.
Use promo code RETURN and the same room pulls up as $299 for two nights.
Doing a quick look, suites start as low as $339 for two nights (compared to $588 for a rack rate).
Lighthouse Point Discount
Here is where it gets even more interesting. While the email said the promotion applies to Hotel Breakers, we are also seeing the Golden Opportunity rate show up at Lighthouse Point.
We again looked at May 5-7, 2023 for two adults and two kids.
The cottages are all showing at the $299 rate for 2-nights with promo code GPASS or RETURN. For comparison, the rake rate is $468.
Cabins are $319 (compared to $488).
Deluxe cabins are $419 (compared to $588).
This looks like a great opportunity to stay at some of the Cedar Point Resorts for a great discount on early season stays.
If you are able to use the posted discounts, please let us know in the comments.
