Kings Island has teamed up with the Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. for a special signature beer to be sold throughout the park. The craft beer labeled as Kings Island KI Inversion Pilsner, features a touch of lemon peel aroma and light hop finish.
The beer was made in collaboration with Moerlein’s Vice President of Brewing Operations Eric Baumann and Kings Island’s Executive Chef Nathan Gushulak.
“Getting to work with Kings Island on this new beer was a special treat,” Baumann said. “I grew up in Loveland and loved spending summers at Kings Island, enjoying the rides and best of all — the roller coasters! Our new pilsner evokes that fun summer feeling you can only get at Kings Island.”
5.5% ABV, 40 IBU
The beer will be sold by the bottle and on tap throughout the park. The KI Inversion pilsner makes it’s debut this weekend at the Kings Island Banshee Brew Festival.

The partnership also celebrates Cincinnati’s grand brewing traditions. Part of the upgrades to the biergarten will include a miniature version of the Brewing Heritage Trail developed by the Over-the-Rhine Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation highlighting stories and photos about Cincinnati and beer.
A little-known fact is that the area where Kings Island now stands once held farms where the malt for Cincinnati’s grand breweries of the 1860s was grown. More of the Trail will be installed and debut as the park season rolls on.
