Cedar Point has announced the closure of the Snake River Falls ride. The last day of operation will be Labor Day, September 2, 2024.

Since opening in 1993, Snake River Falls has given over 15 million rides.

Designed by Arrow Dynamics, the ride reached a height of 82 feet with a top speed of 40 mph.

When first opened, the ride was sponsored by the then Pepsi contract. Once Coca-Cola took over in 2013, the sponsorship was dropped.

We always found the original concept art for Snake River Falls quite interesting at what could have been. The attraction was originally designed with a mountain theme, treehouse, and mine ride elements. However, those were dropped from the project.
