Cedar Point has officially raised daily parking to $25 per vehicle ahead of the 2022 season. The moves comes in response to the City of Sandusky signing a $100 million dollar deal that allows Cedar Point to collect a 8% parking tax that was signed into agreement in October 2021.
This price hike also comes on the heels of a gate ticket to Cedar Point now up to $85. The price increase was as a result of increased labor markets as well as the City of Sandusky increasing the admissions tax rate from 4% to 8%.
The two taxes are expected to generate approximately $4.5 million in new income to the City which will be used towards the following projects.
Of course your best way to save on parking is to purchase a season pass, where parking is included for Gold and Platinum passholders. Tickets purchased directly on the Cedar Point website are as low as $45, with parking discounted to $23.15 (plus applicable fees and taxes).

$23.15 with 8% tax comes to $25. So, there isn’t really a discount if they are charging you $25 day of, they are just already including the tax
what a scam.anyone who pays this should be ashamed of themselves.the american people need to stop supporting these crooked organizations.bad enough they are charging 85 bucks to get in.on top of that, they no longer accept CASH.
Don’t go
People don’t actually pay $85 unless they are completely clueless, it’s $45 to $55 online depending on the time of year.
$25 for parking is normal for any event..ie..concert, sporting event, etc.. Get a season pass or pay up, stop the whining
At $25 for parking, sh!t should have a shuttle trolly.
