There is just something so intriguing about taking an already freshly made funnel cake and turning it into a sundae. The various Cedar Fair amusement parks serve a variety of toppings, and sometime special offerings of funnel cakes. Dorney Park even offers their guests a create your own funnel cake, with a large variety of toppings to create an unlimited amount of creations.
Cedar Point tends to be a little less creative in the culinary process, and offers the stand alone funnel cake topped with powdered sugar, or a funnel cake sundae, topped with vanilla, chocolate, or twist soft serve ice cream, whipped cream, and cherry or apple topping.
Funnel cakes can be purchased at Bayou Refreshments and Toot Sweets.

The funnel cake is made by pouring batter into hot oil and cooking for approximately 90 seconds per side. Once the guest has purchased their funnel cake, they are then sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped accordingly.
