Up until a couple weeks ago, the Carowinds website listed both a Fast Lane and Fast Lane Plus program on their website, though they had yet to go on sale for the 2020 season.
The Fast Lane program allows guests to pay premium access for the privilege of using a separate, often shorter queue, for rides around the parks. The Fast Lane program has been implemented at all Cedar Fair parks, and in addition to daily purchases, season passholders can purchase an All-Season Fast Lane that is good at either your specific park, or Platinum passholders can buy a Fast Lane Plus good for all of the parks.
The Carowinds Fast Lane Plus program included more popular attractions like Copperhead Strike, Electro-Spin, Fury 325, Intimidator, Mountain Gliders and Nighthawk, plus all the rides included in the Fast Lane program.
Now the Fast Lane Plus and Fast Lane programs have been combined into one for the 2020 season. Guests will only have the option to purchase the Fast Lane program, which includes 26 of the attractions at Carowinds and Carolina Harbor.
When discussing with Lisa Stryker, Carowinds Communications Director, “our data tells us that the vast majority of Fast lane sales were for the Fast Lane Plus product and this consolidation with makes things simpler for both guests and associates.”
Currently, California’s Great America, Knott’s Berry Farm, Michigan’s Adventure and Valleyfair are the only other parks to offer a Fast Lane program without the separate Fast Lane Plus option.
