Back in late January, we learned that Panda Express at Carowinds would relocate from their current location across from Midway Market to the Joe Cool Cafe building.

The current Panda Express building has a long history at the park but with the added patronage and being added to the Carowinds dining plans, they have outgrown the space and were looking to upgrade their accommodations.

Fortunately, just footsteps away is Joe Cool Cafe.

For the 2017 season, the former Joe Cool Cafe will receive a complete facelift for the modern era of Panda Express. The new facade is very similar to the architecture of the standalone stores located outside the park.

The new building has more than enough space to accommodate large crowds as there are dual lines for the really busy days.

The former Panda Express building has been razed.

<!--
Before Panda Express the building was used as the following

2007-2016 Panda Express
-2006 Wild Thornberry’s Outpost Canteen

a Chicken Wing and Popcorn Shrimp stand starting in 2001. Prior it was a Taco Stand in 1996, Marketplace Treats & Snacks in 1991, The Sausage Haus in 1987, a Hot Dog Stand in 1982, and the Royal Morsels food stand all the way back in 1973.
