<p><strong>UPDATE 8/14/25: The glitch in the system has been fixed and this should no longer be working.</strong></p>
<p>Ever since the dining plans were introduced at legacy Cedar Fair parks, guests have asked why can we not get a snack item in lieu of a meal? </p>
<p>Fast forward to when the All-Day Premium Dining plans were introduced, allowing guests to get an entrée + side OR snack item every 90 minutes. However, snacks were not an option for those of us with All-Season dining plans. </p>
<p>Thanks to some keen users in the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/356746587842305" target="_blank">Cedar Point Dining Club</a> Facebook group, things appear to be changing. </p>
<p>At the Cedar Point <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/tofts-ice-cream-parlor/">Ice Cream parlor</a> next to Starbucks, they are accepting All-Season Dining Plans for use of a single scoop of ice cream. We have independently verified it works, as have several other guests. </p>
<p>In addition, <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/stockade-refreshments/">Stockade Refreshments</a> is offering cotton candy, ice cream or popcorn.</p>
<p><a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/red-garter-saloon/">Red Garter</a> is giving guests popcorn. </p>
<p>Keep in mind, a snack is being given in lieu of one of your two daily meals. </p>
<p>We have not seen any evidence of it working at French Quarter Confections yet. </p>
<p>Looking over the <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/2025-cedar-point-dining-plan-options/">Cedar Point dining plan</a> snack options, we would venture to say most of the items &#8220;should&#8221; be available for redemption, but have not verified them all yet. </p>
<p>We also reached out to passholders visiting other legacy Cedar Fair parks to see if the snack option is working for them, and will report back.</p>
<p>This also got us thinking that maybe this will be an official change for 2026 season pass dining plans, but we have yet to see any official language on if this will be a permanent change to the program. </p>
<p>For a company trying to save money, this is absolutely a must for them to implement. If a guest gets a snack item in lieu of a meal plan credit, the cost difference should be substantial. Think about it&#8230;a guest gets a box of popcorn instead of brisket and a side. We have been saying this for years and it is about time someone actually might be realizing the financial implications of the change.</p>
