One of the most exciting food stands to open for the 2015 season was Beaver Tails. The whole-wheat, hand stretched dough that is fried, then topping with a variety of toppings was a staple snack when visiting sister park Canada’s Wonderland, and we were excited to finally get them at Cedar Point.
We were fortunate to try them within the first week of opening at Cedar Point, and they were quickly our favorite snack within the park. I mean how could one go wrong with Nutella and a variety of other delectable treats on fried dough similar to an elephant ear, though substantially smaller.
At first the food stand was located along the brand new Wicked Twister Midway. However, around August 11, 2015, the food stand was relocated in front of the Raptor to try and capture some more foot traffic.
Not only during our park visits, but those of other park goers, Beaver Tails was often closed. When it was open, the initial lines we saw at the beginning of the season were not sustained. Sadly, the Beaver Tails trend did not catch on at Cedar Point.
We have confirmed that Beaver Tails will not be returning for the 2016 season at Cedar Point.
The Beaver Tails stand will be missed because they really do put out an excellent product.

I’m so sad this was my favorite food at Cedar Point. It was different then anything else there. The only downside was we always had to wait for more product. But we waited.
