AUNTIE ANNE’S PRETZEL MAKING PROCESS – There is nothing like the chewy deliciousness of a soft pretzel from Auntie Anne’s when visiting Carowinds, Cedar Point, Kings Island, and the many other Cedar Fair properties that offer their famous baked goods! Even more enticing is the pretzels are hand made on-site, and in select locations, the customer can witness the process from beginning to end.
The Auntie Anne’s pretzel stand along the Cedar Point midway is one of those perfect locations, where you step up to the viewing window left of the counter and can see your favorite pretzels hand rolled and formed by the bakers.
The Cedar Point Auntie Anne’s locations offer guests both traditional and cinnamon sugar coated soft pretzels, along with an assortment of dipping sauces.
The process begins with prepared batches of pretzel dough made in small batches.
Bakers remove a small portion of dough and roll it out into a long form. This is the start of your perfect baked pretzel.
Then with a clever twist of their hands, they are able to form the classic pretzel shape.
Next the pretzel receives a quick water bath prior to baking. Salt is applied prior to baking, where cinnamon is sugar is added afterwards. Butter is traditionally brushed on at the end.
Both no salt and no butter options are available upon request.
So grab your favorite pretzel and watch the Pretzel-tainment being made right before your eyes.
