<p>Our family recently completed a cross-country trip, visiting 6 National Parks and 4 amusement parks. The below article discusses are adventures around one of our favorite amusement parks. </p>
<p>After six days of visiting the five Utah National Parks, we finally left Zion to go to Knotts Berry Farm in California. Once we arrived from our eight hour drive, we immediately went into the park to enjoy boysenberry punch (the signature drink of the park) and an excellent Mexican meal on our dining plans in the newly themed Fiesta Village. This new area is known for their excellent new food selections both on the meal plan and off. We ordered burrito bowls and mine included chicken, although there were several meats and vegetarian options.</p>
<p>After eating, we went to Jaguar, Knott&#8217;s family roller coaster located right in the middle of Fiesta Village. After exploring Fiesta Village we headed over to their heavily themed log flume (Timber Mountain log flume) where in total we got three rides on it throughout the whole day. Following that we rode its sister attraction (Calico Mine Ride), a relaxing train themed dark ride. </p>
<p>We then made our way over to their third dark ride, <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/2020-knotts-berry-farm-bear-y-tales-story-4-d-interactive-dark-ride/">Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair</a>. This ride takes place at a fair where the bear characters try to save the boysenberry pies from thieves. This is a shooting ride where you help the bears by shooting the thieves with boysenberry jam jar guns. </p>
<p>Finally we went on our first thrilling roller coaster of the day, HangTime, a themed surfing coaster. It is a Gerstlauer Infinity coaster. </p>

<p>Silver Bullet was the next big coaster of the day. This coaster is a inverted B &#038; M attraction. </p>

<p>The last big coaster of the day was Ghost Rider, a wooden coaster refurbished by GCI, originally built by Custom Coasters International. All the while drinking boysenberry punch between rides to keep hydrated. We did notice they now had sugar free punch but we stuck to the sugary stuff as usual. </p>
<p>Later in the day we went to the Camp Snoopy kiddie park area where we rode the Grand Sierra Railroad. This is longest of all the Cedar Fair small snoopy themed train rides. This ride is completely themed around the Peanuts gang. </p>
<p>After leaving the family area we rode some of the fun flat rides in the newly refurbished Fiesta Village and went up on the Sky Cabin which gives you amazing views and opportunities to take lots of photos to remember your day. </p>

<p>We finished up the park ride line up by riding the parks full size Calico Railroad and the Calico River Rapids. </p>
<p>For dinner we used our meal plans to try out <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/knotts-berry-farm-food/knotts-boardwalk-bbq/">Boardwalk BBQ</a> restaurant. My favorite food we tried was the Boysenberry BBQ wings. </p>
<p>We ended our day reriding different attractions that we loved such as the log flume, HangTime, and Berry Tales. </p>
<p>I invested in three new Coaster Cutouts made by Coaster Dynamics at Knotts. Building these is a hobby of mine and I had saved up money for the past 6 months to be able to buy several at the parks we visited during this trip. Because my family loves boysenberry punch so much we invested in a case of the concentrate at the Berry Market at the end of the night and I was nominated to be the one who had to carry the 50 pound case to the car. All in all I can call that a successful day at Knotts Berry Farm. </p>
