When the weather starts to cool, and the pumpkin beer hits the shelves, it means it is time for Oktoberfest! Lets take a quick trip down memory lane with some of the previous Oktoberfest events that were held at Kings Dominion.
Back on October 9, 2011, Kings Dominion held a special Oktoberfest event featuring live music, an All-You-Can-Eat picnic meal with German specialty items, and $5 cups of beer. Tickets were $21.99 for the event and meal, while $46.99 for a Park Admission, Event & Meal Combo.
During the 2014 season, Kings Dominion held an Oktoberfest event that was only supposed to run the first two weekends of October, but was eventually lengthened to include all operating weekends of the month.
Sadly for the 2015 season, we never saw the Oktoberfest event return. However, the great news is Oktoberfest is back again for 2016 and bigger than ever!
This seasons Oktoberfest is September 24 and 25, 2016 from noon till 7:00 pm in the Candy Apple Grove.
In addition to live music and seasonal beers, there will be a nice accompanying German tastings available for purchase.
