Who remembers the old Cedar Point Frontier Town Shootin’ Gallery? To clarify, there were two versions of the Frontiertown Shootin’ Gallery. The original resided in what is now the General Store. You can see the original Shootin’ Gallery on PointBuzz. Following its removal in 2004, a new Frontiertown Shootin’ Gallery was installed between the Jitney Arcade and the General Store in 2007, where it resided until the close of the 2013 season.
As part of the 2015 Cedar Point season, the park has opened up the former Shootin’ Gallery space and turned it into a brand new Coca-Cola Freestyle location.
While the loss of the Shootin’ Gallery takes away from some of the nostalgia and appeal in the Frontiertown area, the new Coca-Cola Freestyle facade fits nicely with the western theme.
Guests can still play a mini version of the Shootin’ Gallery in an arcade format in the adjacent Jitney Arcade.
Prior to this new addition, the closest Freestyle location was over on the Gemini Midway.
