Both Coasters and G’Rilla Grill are offering guests a veggie burger this season, and it is included on the Worlds of Fun dining plan!

We chose to get our veggie burger from G’rilla Grill, served in a basket with an ample portion of French fries.

The burger was served with two slices of cheese, homemade pickles, tomatoes and lettuce.

There is a gluten free bun option which we did not select for our meal. We were offered a choice of sauces on the side, perhaps for the fries; BBQ sauce, Ranch Dressing, and Honey Mustard. Ketchup and mustard were available from dispensers and we added mustard to our veggie burger.

The patty itself was moist with a tender inside and a slightly crusty outside from grilling. It had a very noticeable re-fried bean taste, and the pickles and mustard added their normal strong flavors.

The combination of flavors reminded us of a Mexican food dish (primarily beans and cheese), and therefore we thought that the Ranch Dressing may have been a more desirable dressing option over the mustard.

The fries included in the basket were ample, fresh and tasty.

Pros: The patty was tender and moist with a pleasing grilled outside. The homemade pickles are fresh and add a novel pickle flavor to the burger. The addition of cheese slices paired well to the natural bean taste of the patty.
Cons: If your taste palate does not include re-fried beans, this vegetarian option might not excite you.
