<p>The off-season ahead of the 2022 Canada&#8217;s Wonderland season has been a flurry of activity around the park with changes everywhere to the food and beverage facilities. Lets go on a walk around the park and see the status of the improvements as of season passholder preview on April 24.</p>
<p>Starting off on International Street, the Alphorn Funnel Cakes stand has received a new vintage look, now going by Alpenhorne Funnel Cakes </p>

<p>Just next door, the former Dairy Queen stand is now Swiss Dip, which offers a variety of ice cream and sundaes. </p>

<p>As guests head into Medieval Faire, the <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/canadas-wonderland-food/marketplace-international-buffet/">Marketplace</a> has been remodeled and renamed to a opening day original, All&#8217;s Well Hall. </p>

<p>As we round the corner and head towards Wilde Beast, guests will notice that the Medieval Faire Dairy Queen has also been updated for 2022. Now known as Arthur&#8217;s Sundaes and Cones. </p>

<p>Scooting across the park to the Action Zone, <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/canadas-wonderland-food/canadas-wonderland-coasters-drive-in/">Coaster&#8217;s Drive-In</a> is receiving a renovation to better accommodate guests. </p>

<p>The really interesting area of the park is at the boundary of Action Zone and Frontier Canada, adjacent to WindSeeker. Back in August 2021, Canada’s Wonderland announced their largest dining improvement in park history. With seating for over 500 guests, the new multi-level, rustic lodge restaurant will offer a large selection of menu options, and both indoor and outdoor fireplaces overlooking Yukon Striker and Frontier Canada. Unfortunately, details have been fairly limited. </p>
<p>Despite a large construction wall around the area, we were still able to get a good idea on where the mystery restaurant stands. </p>
<p>For starters, we noticed that the <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/canadas-wonderland-food/mountainside-bakery-cafe/">Mountainside Bakery building</a> was gone. We were rather surprised by this move because the building was renovated in recent years and we found it rather beautiful and a fitting theme to Frontier Canada. </p>
<p>Now a new &#8220;Cookie Cafe&#8221; has been constructed opposite of the former Mountainside Bakery. </p>

<p>In addition, just down the walk way towards Vortex, a new Refresh Center has been constructed for drink refills.</p>

<p>Where it gets interesting is the construction status of the new restaurant in the area. Currently, the foundations, concrete flooring, and structural steel is in place. The project is still a long way from completion, as it still does not have a roof or walls, let alone a lodge type feel. It will be interesting to see how this project progresses, as we would venture to guess it is still several months away from being done. The original notice also mentioned the facility will be multi-level and fit upwards of 500 people, so we will see how that progresses. </p>
<p>According to the current construction, it appears the new restaurant is going to have a walkout &#8220;basement&#8221; that overlooks Vortex and Yukon Striker, which is going to for sure be a fan favorite location to sit and chill. </p>

<p>We are really excited to see this new restaurant coming to Canada&#8217;s Wonderland. With high capacity kitchens and state of the art equipment, we have high confidence in the chefs making an extraordinary new menu to go along with the theme and environment.</p>
<p>Lastly, headed into Planet Snoopy, the Carrousel Kitchen and Dairy Queen has received a refresh. In addition to new paint, the last portion of the building which now houses Carrousel Kitchen received a new set of windows. Unsure at this time if those will be service windows or not.</p>
