To kick off the 100th anniversary of Knott’s Berry Farm, the park is celebrating all aspects of the theme parks history. For example, May 15 through August 30, “A Knott’s Family Reunion,” will bring together old classics with new favorites, which includes the return of the beloved Bear-y Tales story in an all-new 4-D interactive dark ride, bringing to life a continuation of the classic attraction initially commissioned by the Knott Family and created in 1975 by the legendary attraction designer Rolly Crump.
“Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair” is a new 4-D interactive dark ride that will take guests on an exciting journey through reimagined show scenes that are reminiscent of the original dark ride, including the Boysenberry Pie Factory, Frog Forest, Fortune Teller Camp, Thunder Cave, and Weird Woods, culminating in a celebration at the County Fair.
Knott’s Berry Farm has released a new concept art for Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair, a new 4-D interactive dark ride. Check out the adorable jam jars that will squirt the virtual jelly at the screens. The new ride offers a cute family experience paying tribute to the original attraction from 1975-1986.
In addition, Knott’s Berry Farm is releasing a new 100th anniversary collector pin set. Starting on January 1, 2020, each pin released will tell a small part of the overall Knott’s Berry Farm story.
All pins will be embossed 1-100 of the series and are limited edition.
The first pin, revealed January 1, features the Knott’s Berry Farm berry stand and sells for $9.99. Future releases will be at varying price points.
Knott’s plans to release at least one new pin every Saturday, starting on January 8. Other pins will be based on events, festivals, and other Knott’s Berry Farm activities such as Peanuts Celebration, Boysenberry Festival, Ghost Town Alive!, Knott’s Scary Farm and Knott’s Merry Farm. The 100th final pin of the series will be released on December 29, 2020, which is the actual date the Knott family arrived in Buena Park a hundred years ago.
