We receive a lot of feedback on the food and dining plans across all the Cedar Fair parks. Lines are long. Food is cold. We love the food at _________. Our favorite meal is ______. The parks take into consideration all the feedback you send directly to them via customer service, comment forms and online surveys. The teams also pay very close attention to the CPFB, as this community provides a tremendous amount of feedback on what works or needs improvement other than looking at the balance sheets.
Shortly after the dining plans were introduced and rolled out to Cedar Fair parks across North America, one suggestion we have heard for quite a while is the desire to be able to use dining plans on snack items. Six Flags has been doing it for years. So has Disney World.
However, the parks saw it as an opportunity for the guests to spend additional money on some of the sweeter desires.
Well for 2019, two parks will be testing a new snack plan option, but there are some caveats.
Dorney Park and Valleyfair are the current two parks showing the snack option.
Snacks are ONLY available on All Day Dining plans currently. So in addition to being able to eat every 90 minutes with the All Day Dining plan, guests also receive a single snack credit for redemption at the following options.
We have reached out to the parks for comment on whether the snack credit counts towards the every 90 minutes requirement.

It will be interesting to see if this test is successful and whether it is rolled out into All Season Dining plans, which is change guests have been requesting.

Ok this is crap, I’ve had all season dining going on 3 years and have been begging for this option. First you roll it out at 2 of the least look parks and then you don’t offer it to your most loyal customers? Some genius really came up with this brilliant plan. Just another thing pushing me away from renewing in 2020.
Lisa, they need to test it first since it is their first time doing. It’s better to test at smaller parks so the kinks can be worked out before the larger parks roll it out.
Stop thinking about yourself first, you are no more important to the company than any other guest.
They should offer it to platinum pass people
