In preparation for Cedar Point’s 150th anniversary celebration in 2020, the park is remodeling their Town Hall Museum to help display the history of the park. For anyone that had been in the museum prior to the the clearing out of the building this fall, they would know it was an eclectic collection of odds and ends, many having very little ties to Cedar Point’s history, other than being interesting items to see from our country’s past.
On November 20, Grays’s Auction House in Cleveland, Ohio will hold an auction of Cedar Point Town Hall Museum items.
Among the most notable items going up for auction is a 1904 American LaFrance Steam Fire Engine No. 496 that was on display in the museum. Originally used to fight fires in Greensboro, North Carolina, the engine has been at Cedar Point since June 1970.

I would love to see the ride replicas auctioned off (blue streak, wildwater landing) but I”m assuming they will be part of the anniversary celebration. Or what about the full size gemini photo op 🙂
