Several weeks ago we discovered Carowinds had pushed back their season into November for weekend only operation. Carowinds typically closes between Halloween and Thanksgiving in preparation for Winterfest. With the rather stormy early part of the season, it appeared like the park was going to try and extend the season and make up for some of the rain out days. Now, Carowinds has announced the additional weekend dates in November have a purpose, for the limited time Peanuts Celebration.

Saturdays and Sundays November 2-17, 2019, Carowinds will host the special Peanuts Celebration.

This is your prime opportunity to learn about the history of the Peanuts, meet the rare character Pig Pen, parktake in all kinds of new family activities, and try several exclusive Peanuts themed menu items.

We have had the privilege of attending the Peanuts Celebration at Knott’s Berry Farm (2018 & 2019), Kings Island (2018), and Valleyfair (2019), and can tell you it is absolutely worth a visit!

Chef Kris will also introduce a new lineup of specialty menu items for the Peanuts Celebration, which we will cover in a future article. We wonder if due to the time crunch they will offer similar menu items to those served at the sister park events.

Carowinds has also announced that in addition to the Peanuts Celebration, the following attractions are scheduled to be open in November.

If any park can pull off a last minute addition of the Peanuts Celebration, it has to be Carowinds. Between Haunt and the start of Winterfest is a monumental task to pull off Winterfest. Honestly, we never even understand how they are able to pull off the switch in under a month. It is a remarkable feat of decorating around the clock.

Now, Carowinds is going to fit in the Peanuts Celebration between the two events. To say we are in aww that they are going to be able to pull this transformation off will be an understatement.
