For the next two weekends, Valleyfair is bringing back their Hotdish & Hops event. May 26-29 and June 2-3, 2017, guests will get to try some of the Chef Luis Carrillo famous “hotdish” creations paired with locally crafted brews.
Participation in the Valleyfair Hotdish & Hops is done via tokens. Each token gets you a sample of food or beer.
Hotdish menu items include the following:
– Arroz con Pollo
– Green Bean
– Gyro
– Hoppin’ John
– Minnesota
– Pork and Grits
– Spaghetti
– Tater Tots
– Walleye
– Wild Rice
Dessert Hotdishes include:
– Brownie Nutella Crepe
– Fruit Pie Funnel Cake
– S’mores
Breweries represented will include:
– Badger Hill
– Excelsior
– Finnegans
– Bent Paddle Brewing
– Grain Belt
– Leinenkugel
– Lift Bridge
– Schell’s
– Summit
– Surly
Hotdish & Hops takes place on Fridays from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Monday (May 29) from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.
The Hotdish & Hops event is also the perfect opportunity to get out and try the new North Star beer – an exclusive brew made by Shakopee-based Badger Hill Brewing Company. The Pale Wheat Ale features 5.2% ABV, 20 IBU and pays tribute to the new Valleyfair North Star ride.
