Over the July 23-24, 2016 weekend, Canada’s Wonderland hosted their first Taste of Greece event. The event took place throughout the Action Zone from noon until 10:00 pm each day.
The event was free and included with admission to the park. Food was an additional charge as outlined below.
Food was provided by Catering by Nikos. Purchasing of food was via a token system. Guests could purchase 6 tokens for $6. Bottled water is $4. A 20 oz beer is 8 tokens. A 5 oz wine is 6 tokens.
Loukoumades (Deep fried pastries soaked with fresh honey, 4 pieces)- 4 tokens
Baklava (topped with chopped nuts and drizzled with honey, 1 piece)- 5 tokens
Chicken Gyro (Served on warm pita bread)- 7 tokens
Saganaki (Traditional pan-seared saganaki cheese served hot with warm pita bread)- 7 tokens
Tiropites & Spanakopita (Spinach and Greek pastry pies, 1 piece)- 6 tokens
Vegetables (Grilled eggplant, zucchini, red pepper; 2 slices of each vegetable)- 6 tokens
Traditional Greek Salad (Sliced tomato, red onion, feta cheese, black olives)- 6 tokens
Pita Bread and Dips (Tzatziki, humos, tirokafteri, melitzanosalata)- 6 tokens
