There was a ton of secret construction work on Top Thrill Dragster during the off-season, long before anyone even knew something big was coming.

Then on January 9, 2003, the media was sent a press kit detailing the world’s tallest, fastest roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster, to open in May.

Inside the press release folder was the following contents.

– Three 8-12” x 11” glossy printed sheets
     – Top Thrills!
     – Cedar Point’s “Grand Slam” of the Tallest and Fastest Roller Coasters in the World
     – The Sky’s the Limit!

In addition to the press release, media was given a rare “Media Preview” button on May 1, 2003.
