One of our most exciting moments when visiting Worlds of Fun was finding the food truck in Oceans of Fun, as well as finally getting to meet Executive Chef Kevin Williams. While the chef works to reshape the way food is prepared across the park, there is nowhere more evident of his masterpieces than at the food truck!
Everything on the menu is freshly prepared with the finest ingredients, and what is AWESOME is that many of the menu items are on the dining plans! So instead of getting a corn dog in the park (though we can attest they are great too), head over to the food truck and get some of the best food in the park.
During our visit, Chef Kevin prepared us some of his fried avocado served with a side of Chipotle dip ($6.29).
Each of the four slices of avocado were breaded in panko crumbs and lightly fried. The crunchiness of the breading paired excellently with the softness of the avocado. They were also lightly sprinkled with salt. As if the avocado was not enough, they were prepared with an excellent Chipotle dip, which when paired with the avocado, brought out an amazing combination of flavors!
We were really impressed with the fried avocado appetizer, so much so that once the truck started serving lunch, we brought the entire family back to the truck to try some of Chef Kevin’s amazing entree options. Stay tuned for a full review to follow.
