Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom offers what we would call a signature sandwich at both the Happy Harbor Café and Tropical Waters Bar and Grille. It is called the Aurora Pretzel Bun Club Combo, and features a soft pretzel bun stacked with turkey, honey ham, cheddar and provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Served with a side of honey mustard.

The sandwich can be purchased individually with fries and a pickle spear over at Tropical Waters Bar and Grille for $9.99, or as part of a combo with drink for $12.29 at Happy Harbor Café.

During a recent visit, we elected to get the Aurora Club combo from the Happy Harbor Café.

We were quite excited to be sampling something that was not typical burger and fries, or worse yet, the pizza. The sandwich was made fresh in front of us and served with a standard order of fries.

So how was the Aurora Pretzel Bun Club Combo?

A pretzel bun deserves to be warmed to really enjoy the soft, doughy texture that you imagine with a soft pretzel. That being said, ours was taken directly out of the fridge and immediately served with all the fixings. The meat and cheese were good, and the vegetables were especially fresh. We think the sandwich really would have been exceptional had the pretzel bun been properly heated. It should be noted that it was not served with a side of honey mustard, which would have really been good on the sandwich, and it was not available at the condiment station as well.

We would have really liked to see the Aurora Pretzel Bun Club paired with a side salad in lieu of the fries. After all, we are walking around in bathing suits all day, and want to preserve our CPFB figures.

The Aurora Pretzel Bun Club Combo really has the potential to be a great sandwich with a little bit of tweaking of how they are prepared. We would also love to see the Aurora Pretzel Bun Club available at Cedar Point in the future.
