One of the Kings Island dining plan options we have been wanting to try all season was the cheese steak sandwich from the Snake Pit stand adjacent to Diamondback. On Saturday, May 28, 2016, the Snake Pit sold their last cheesesteak, as the stand was converted to Rivertown Hotdog with a new menu.
A cheese steak sandwich is not something we typically find in the Cedar Fair amusement parks, with Cedar Point just getting a new stand in 2015.
We were curious as to what we would get for the sandwich, so let’s take a look.
After placing our order, we saw the meat get cooked to order as well as the onions and peppers, which guests are given the option if they want them or not. The roll is also grilled before all the ingredients are topped with provolone cheese and placed into the sandwich.
We were very happy to see there were no shortcuts taken with precooked ingredients. The sandwich was really good, nice and cheesy, and really hit the spot.
The Kings Island cheesesteak meal also includes a bag of chips.
We enjoyed the cheesesteak so much that it will definitely be a reorder in the future.
