Looking for a healthier meal while visiting Kings Dominion? Fortunately, Chef Paul has introduced an impressive assortment of salads around the park for a variety of tastes. Since we have the all-season dining plans, we elected to use them to try the Kings Dominion Outer Hanks Grilled Chicken Salad.
The salad is served with chilled dark greens, croutons, and grilled chicken along with a side packet of dressing.
We were happy to see the lettuce was an upgrade from standard iceberg. The croutons were fresh and not stale which can often be the case with salads. Chicken was served warm and fresh.
The Kings Dominion grilled chicken salad was a nice option for those looking for a healthier option. Our only suggestion is we would like to see the size of the salad increased a little to be a more substantial meal. Should a larger portion become available, a more substantial crouton would be a nice alternative.
On the contrary though, the grilled chicken salad comes in at a respectable $9.99 for those not on the dining plans. This is an excellent price point, making it less than the cost of some of the other meal options. No longer can the excuse be used that it is more expensive to eat healthy options.
