We think everyone can agree that a meatball sub is pretty much always delicious, and it makes us all the more happier when the Kings Dominion Dinner Bell meatball sub is on the dining plans. So let’s take a look into this food option.
The meatball sub is served on a 6″ hearty roll and served with approximately 4 meatballs. After being covered in tomato sauce, the sandwich is topped with cheese, in our case, shredded cheddar.
Just like the cheesesteak sold at Dinner Bell, the bread is a real winner with this sandwich. The roll is hearty enough to hold the sandwich together and not fall apart like some cheaper alternatives.
The meatballs and sauce also tasted really good, as it is very difficult to mess up the quintessential meatball sub sandwich.
Just like the cheesesteak, the real miss of the sandwich was the cheese, as it should be topped with some sort of Italian cheese like Parmesan or mozzarella in lieu of the cheddar cheese we received.
Also we would like to see the size of the sandwich increased to around a 10″ sub given the price point.
The meal comes served with the standard fries, which we would prefer to see upgraded to a better quality fry or be given the option of different sides.
Still the Dinner Bell meatball sub is a tasty option worthy of repeating.
