When you say fried chicken around us, we immediately think of Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Restaurant at Knott’s Berry Farm. Perfectly, juicy fried chicken with homemade side dishes, and served in a brand new building. So our standards when it comes to friend chicken are set pretty high. That is why we were excited to try Kings Dominion Country Kitchen Fried Chicken.
One of the first things we noticed when entering the Country Kitchen is it really has a feel of your Grandma’s old fashioned kitchen. Next head to the food line, and you’ll notice the side dishes are served in individual pots rather your standard buffet chafing dish. The idea of serving the food out of beautiful pots is a fantastic little detail to help drive home the feeling of homemade food!
During our recent visit, guests had the option of selecting corn, macaroni and cheese, green beans, baked beans, mashed potato, and gravy.
Our fried chicken meal came with two pieces of chicken, which we were allowed to chose (we selected a breast and leg), as well as two sides and a biscuit.
So how was the meal? Did it live up to expectations?
Absolutely! In fact, the meal was great! The chicken was super moist yet with a flavorful, crunchy breading. The side dishes were fantastic, and the biscuit was the same high level quality that is similar to those served at KFC.
The Kings Dominion Country Kitchen Fried Chicken meal is a great option for guests. Plus, the meal is included on the dining plans, making it a no-brainer for one of your options.
