CEDAR POINT PINK’S LONG ISLAND DOG – On a recent trip to Cedar Point, we elected to try the Pink’s Long Island hot dog as part of the all-season meal plan.
The Long Island dog costs $7.99 and does not include a side. However, the meal plan includes a side of fries, or guests have the option to substitute onion rings.
The Long Island dog consists of a 9″ stretch hotdog topped with mustard, onions, chili, and sauerkraut.
Anytime you add chili to a hotdog, you sold the CPFB. The hotdog itself had a nice, snappy casing. Followed by a nice combination of topping. The combination of chopped, crunchy onions played nice against the sauerkraut.
The Long Island dog was very good and equally as messy, easily blowing out the bottom of the bun. This is our one suggestion when it comes to selling gourmet topped hot dogs, or all sandwiches for that matter, is to make sure the bread is adequate enough to hold everything together.
The onion rings were a nice change from eating fries all day. Crispy and fried to golden perfection.
For those wishing to eat a hot dog, there is no missing that sold at Pink’s, and it is a great fit at Cedar Point.
Have you tried the Pink’s Long Island dog; what did you think?

Tried Pink’s and the Long Island Hot Dog with onion rings opening weekend Sunday. I was not impressed. Service was slow and mistakes were being made on orders. They didn’t give me my onion rings, I had to ask for them. When I finally got to a table, and bit into the hot dog, they neglected to put the chili on it. At that point I had it, so I didn’t go back to the counter. It was mediocre and the onion rings were over-cooked. Maybe attribute it to opening weekend. I’ve been happy with all other food offerings I’ve tried in the park this season though.
Thanks for your feedback. Opening weekend can often be rough as many of the employees are just starting out. I’d consider giving it another try, as it tends to be one of the better food options in the park.
Ok, I’ll give it another go. Do you have a recommendation as the best All Season Dining plan offering from this location? Thanks.
That is hard to say considering it’s essentially the same hot dog just with different toppings. With each person having their own preferences on toppings, it’s hard to pick a favorite. 🙂
UPDATE: I went to the park yesterday and gave Pink’s another try. A much better experience. I had the spicy Chicago Polish Dog. Which I thought was very good and will have again. Onion rings were better as well. Thought I’d post a positive since, I started with a negative a few days ago.
We are glad it worked out! 🙂
