The key Cedar Point’s new Frontier Inn is the hand breaded chicken tenders. The simple process of soaking the chicken in buttermilk and vinegar for 24 hours make the WORLD of difference in the taste and quality of the product. Besides Valravn, the chicken tenders from Frontier Inn will surely be one of your must have essentials on your next visit to the park.
The FANTASTIC news for those looking for a healthy option in the park is that the Frontier Inn provides for some new salad options. These are not just your thrown together side salads, but featured signature salads with the hand breaded chicken tenders.
Chef Bucco has designed two fresh salad options that will appeal to a wide audience.
The first one we decided to try was the Cedar Point Frontier Inn Asian Chicken Salad. The salad consists of a lettuce mix, edamame, shredded carrot, tomato, slivered almonds, and a sesame ginger dressing served on the side. A sliced, hand breaded chicken tender is then served on top.
On the day of our visit, the salad was served with a diced cucumber which was an excellent addition that we hope they keep. There was also some cheese on the salad which really did not make or break the meal.
The salad is pretty substantial, served in an approximately 8-10″ bowl. The veggies are piled high, making it a great value on portion size. Our only suggestion would be to possibly add another chicken tender. We were fortunate to have extra from our regular portion of chicken tenders, so we added them to the meal. The Asian sesame ginger dressing was also really good and not something we typically see in the park.
For those that have been requesting healthier meal options in the park, we think Frontier Inn signature salad line of menu items really fits that bill, providing great taste, quality and quantity. We once again think the Frontier Inn salads will be a number one seller this season, proving healthier meal options can be done in an amusement park setting.
See our Frontier Inn page for additional menu options available in the park.
