Canada’s Wonderland has taken the clues from the big chain taco franchises and reproduced them at it’s Backlot Cafe. Guests can enjoy an extensive Mexican menu where you can build your own tacos and burritos from an array of toppings.
First guests select from either burrito, tacos, quesadilla, or a taco salad. Even within those options, guests have the chance to choose between a Flour, Whole Wheat, or Gluten Free shell (except for the taco salad option). Meat choices includes pulled pork, grilled chicken, or ground beef. Lastly, guests can choose toppings including black beans, salsa, sour cream, refried beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, sauteed onions & peppers, shredded lettuce, grilled corn salsa, fresh jalapenos, deluxe cheese, Spanish rice.
We opted to use our dining plans for both a burrito and taco platter.
The taco option includes three small soft shells. We decided to select one of each meat with a selection of toppings.
The tacos were really good, well prepared, and perfect for kids. Though when it comes to sharing, three small tacos go less farther than the larger burrito which can easily be shared between two smaller kids.
The Backlot Cafe once again comes through with fresh ingredients and a nice assortment of food options, including special dietary needs.
