Cedar Point has announced a new event in the park on May 22-24 and May 29-31, 2015. The event, titled Brew and BBQ, will feature a variety of 146 beers, including a new signature ROUGABREW crafted by The Brew Kettle. Your ticket will include 10, 4 oz beer samples of your choice.

In addition, guests will be able to get a variety of BBQ food items including including chicken and pulled pork. Five tasting plates of food are included. See the menu options below.

The event will take place in the new Lakeside Pavilion from 5:00 pm until park close.

Tickets are $55.99 per person and include admission to the park and event. Passholders can purchase admission for Brews and BBQ for $15.00.

In addition, signatures sauce will be featured including Rich & Sassy®, Sweet & Zesty®, Pineapple Rage® (Famous Dave’s); Buckeye BBQ®, Louisiana Lickers®, Fiery BBQ (Quaker Steak); and Jack Daniel’s® Sauce, Smoky Sweet Jack Daniel’s® glaze (TGI Fridays).

Both full size beers and food will be available for separate purchase.

So what is a ROUGABREW?

Via an announcement from the Brew Kettle’s Facebook page.

The Brew Kettle and Cedar Point have teamed up to bring craft beer fans a beer to enjoy at the theme park this Summer; ROUGABREW! Named to welcome the new coaster Rougarou, the first floorless coaster at Cedar Point, Rougabrew is a Helles lager style craft beer made to be enjoyed by all craft beer enthusiasts.

“We made Rougabrew to appeal to all craft drinkers and are very excited to have the opportunity to introduce our craft beers to the customers of Cedar Point with the launch of the Rougarou Coaster!”

Rougabrew will be available in the park in bottles and on draught.

Rougabrew lager will be 5% ABV, 20 IBUs.
