2017 Cedar Point Season Pass Drink Program

Back in mid-December 2016, Cedar Fair distributed a survey to guests, asking for their feedback on the souvenir cup program and whether they would consider an alternative program without the bottle. Our social media channels blew up with discussion on the subject since the number one complaint from Ride Warriors is having to pay and store their bottle in a locker.

As announced during the 2017 Winter Chill Out event, Cedar Point and all Cedar Fair parks will be implementing a season pass drink program this season! For $29.99, a guest can add a drink program to their season pass that no longer requires the souvenir bottle starting March 1, 2017.

Once added to your season pass, the guest will use their card to scan at any food or beverage stand for a 12 ounce cup of their favorite beverage.

There is a 15 wait time between scans of the season pass drink program, and new this year, refills on the souvenir cups is every 15 minutes (in the past it has been every 5 minutes).

Which drink program is right for you? Here is a comparison of each of the 2017 drink programs.

Can I Use the Season Pass Drink Program at Other Cedar Fair Parks?

Whether or not you can use your season pass drink program at other parks is dependent on the type of season pass you have for the season. Guests who have a Regular/Gold season pass can only use their pass at the respective park of purchase. Therefore, you can only use the drink program at your home park.

However, those with a Platinum pass will be able to use their Season Pass Drink program at all Cedar Fair parks.

Note: Current season souvenir bottles have always been able to be used at any of the Cedar Fair parks.

What If I Already Purchased An All Season Souvenir Bottle?

For guests that already purchased an All Season Souvenir bottle prior to March 1, you will be able to exchange your voucher for the Season Pass program once the parks open. Simply bring your voucher to the park and they will give you the program of your choice.

Can I switch between the All-Season Souvenir Bottle and Season Pass Drink Program

The parks will give you the option to deactivate your bottle for $2.99 and add the Season Pass Drink program to your card. We assume this will work in reverse too, where if you have the Season Pass Drink program and want to switch to the souvenir bottle, it will be $2.99 to do so.

What if I Lose My All-Season Souvenir Bottle?

A $2.99 fee will be charged for a replacement cup.

So what do you think of the new season pass drink program?
