Dorney Park and Executive Chef Jan Giejda had an impressive 2014 season with substantial new dining options. Today, they released some of the news on their 2015 improvements.

After adding the first Chickie’s & Pete’s location in the Lehigh Valley in 2012, hiring an executive chef in 2013 and the opening of a Build-Your-Own Funnel Cake stand this summer, Dorney Park will continue to enhance the dining experience for its guests next year with the addition of the Smokehouse Barbecue, which will be located in the current Patio Pizza location. The new restaurant will feature BBQ favorites such as smoked beef brisket, pulled pork and hush puppies. The menu being developed by Dorney Park executive chef Jan Giejda won’t stop there.

“We are excited to offer our guests a full BBQ style meal, including sides like homemade mac & cheese and southern style desserts,” Giejda said.

“Located across from Center Stage, Smokehouse Barbecue will serve up some of the best barbecue around! The menu created by our executive chef will feature BBQ favorites such as smoked beef brisket, pulled pork and hush puppies.”

This is wonderful news, as this promises to not be your run-of-the-mill BBQ. However, the great news does not stop there. Smokehouse Barbeque at Dorney Park will be included in the meal plan! So be sure to add the All-Season dining plan to your Platinum Pass, as this is a meal you will not want to miss!
